New Year, New Term, New Writing

I have periodically tried to blog, though I suppose now it become more of a quaint thing to do. But, I want to get back to writing. The goal of this spot is to just free write about current topics of interest: stars and planets; outer space ethics, SETI, whatever is on my mind at the moment along with being a platform for thinking about research and teaching.

I aim to write weekly or so, though as I enter a new semester at Memorial University of Newfoundland. I am teaching two courses – a graduate introduction to cosmology and a senior course on Math Methods. I get to do a lecture tour in for a week in Quebec where I’ll talk about Indigenizing the Drake Equation and Space Ethics. I will get to continue to work with a great team of graduate students with a new person joining to work on exoplanets. I also intend to start a bigger writing project on Outer Space Ethics and Space Futurisms.

Let’s see how it goes.
